Arna
Dubbo Spitfire Dr. Centre Manager
Kia Ora, My Name is Arna and I am the Nominated Supervisor at Spitfire Drive.
I am a born and bred CANTAB from Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. I moved to Australia with my husband and our two young children three years ago. I have always had a passion for children, which started in my teenage years, babysitting for friends and family. After a few different career options, I kept going back to early childhood.
Which brings me here today. Over the past 11 years in Early Childhood Education, I have worked across various roles and settings, including both play-based and structured learning environments. This has enabled me to develop a flexible and adaptable teaching approach and to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Nanny Certificate, and a Diploma in Montessori Education. My diverse qualifications and experience allow me to confidently support children’s learning and development while recognising and responding to their individual needs. I am passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing, and engaging environments where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
My strengths include building strong, trusting relationships with families, fostering children’s independence and confidence, working collaboratively within a team, and maintaining high standards of care and education. I am organised, reliable, and committed to ongoing professional growth, always striving to provide the best possible outcomes for children.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Australia with my family and supporting my children’s sporting activities, which reflects the importance I place on family, community, and active, balanced lifestyles.
